Education is a vital element to the mission of McLean Hospital and for nearly 200 years, it has been providing the finest professional education for a wide range of mental health and allied health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, national certified counselors, nursing home administrators and educators. Our topnotch and fully accredited programming attracts a broad base of health providers for further training in a variety of specialties.

In 2012, the national Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) recognized McLean's Continuing Education program for excellence by awarding the “Accreditation with Commendation” designation. Current offerings include a variety of academic programs, including lectures, symposia, multiday conferences and a hub of online resources. Each program advocates and supports the continuing professional development of mental health professionals with a focus on improving patient care.
